Underhanded Wordsmithing

There are two different definition for the word racket which I think fit what is going on with all forms government. One is an organized illegal activity, such as bootlegging or the extortion of money from legitimate business people by threat or violence. The second is a dishonest scheme, trick, business, activity, etc.

Think about how the government, at all levels, manages the people’s money.

In order to separated the people from their money, the so called leaders have to do all types of chicanery. They have to change the language so that they will make the word tax and the word fee mean virtually the same thing.

A tax is a sum of money demanded by a government for its support for specific facilities or services, levied upon incomes, property, sales, etc.

Usually a tax is payed in multiple installments. A Fee is a charge allowed by law for the service of a public officer.

The so-called great state of Louisiana has really confused the meaning of both words.
